It seems the larger your bust, the better it is to conceal it, so probably not a good idea for small busted women.

They were also at the Boston marathon! Very inspiring.

Intarsia / Re: To Round or Not to Round
« on: April 20, 2013, 10:48:41 am »

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have noticed some "round" or"soften" the edges of each piece while others do not.

Do you round or choose not to and why? If you don't do Intarsia but enjoy seeing it, which look do you prefer?
I much prefer the rounded look on each piece but I guess either is OK.  What I do NOT like to see is paint!  If paint is used, why bother with the cutting? Just paint the image on plywood.  In my case I do not even use stain of any kind.
I agree completely  with Jim!

That saw is not designed for fret work. It is more of a powered copping saw. For fretwork. You.need a saw that will accept plain end blades.

Looks like you have to remove the bottom screw to get it out.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Small routers or what?
« on: April 18, 2013, 10:49:22 am »
Hey Bob, a small router like the Bosch Colt will be fine for rounding small projects. As your needs grow, a larger, more powerful router will be needed. I have a Porter Cable 690 mounted in a router table. The table makes edge routing easier and safer. I would recommend a book specific to routers as they can be dangerous if not use properly.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Delta tools - parts story

Actually there has not been any Delta service centers. Before they became part of Black & Decker, you would have to take your Delta tools to independent tool repair shops that were authorized by Delta.

Hey Jim, Delta is no longer a part of Black & Decker, which owns DeWalt. However the Delta 40-690 is a clone of the DeWalt 788, so the parts are interchangeable.

Tutorials, Techniques and Tips / Re: cutting thin lines
« on: April 17, 2013, 02:56:41 pm »
Hey Marcel, I usually drill my holes at an intersection if there is one. If not, I will drill at the end of the line and cut the vein a little wider to match the thickness of the drilled hole.
