When I was on excersize with the army in Germany there was a fantastic lightning storm, we were camped in pitch black in the middle of nowhere. I set my old 35mm SLR camera up on a tripod and pointed it down the valley, I set it to manual shutter and pressed the button and held the shutter open till after the flash then released it and wound on for the next pic. The pictures all came out perfect, they showed the lightning bolts and it also showed the whole valley where it had been illuminated. I lost those pictures along with a lot of irreplacable family ones when I seperated from the wife in 83. I'm damn sure she threw them out but can't prove it.

Well I don't know if the U.K. is in range of their missiles, but if we are I would just like a 20 second warning, so I can bend over and kiss my a**e goodbye. I'm just glad we don't get all that cr*p about it here, we get enough cr*p on our telly without that too lol. (and even more of it from the government)

I was asked to make Steve's cat sign but with different wording, this is the finished result of what I was asked for. It is made from 3mm birch ply with a 6mm birch ply backer. The backer is stained with "Colouron's Jackobean Oak" and the pattern is BLO/thinners, then when stuck together they both had one coat of spray varnish (I found the varnish on Amazon for £3.25, less than half of the price I used to pay for clear gloss lacquer, and it covers in one coat.) As usual, all comments welcomed.
