If it was made 70 years ago, I'd think it was finished with shellac.  However the Chinese have been using lacquers for thousands of years so it could be a lacquer.

I use a #5 fdur.  That's a flying dutchman ultra reverse.  Looking forward to your pic!  Just take your time, you will do awesome!

You will either get a confirmation e-mail with a link to download it.
Possibly, once you pay you can view your cart and download immediately.  I'd sign back in and check your cart.  If that does not work drop Dale a line he has changed his site recently and I do not know all the ins and outs.

I'm already selling them at $25.  I hate to raise it to $30 or $35 and not have any sales and then have to lower it back.   I really dislike lowering prices, it looks desperate.

dgman nailed it and don't forget to place a small file on the back edges of the blade while your saw is running, to round the edge off, it will turn tighter without or at least less-- burning.

The pattern is a little rough I think it was this guys first attempt.  I've sold several of the finished puzzles though.  I changed some of the cut lines when I cut it and attach the right ear now, as it has a tendency to be a loose fit in that area.
