For those that can't see Dannyb's project....

Another great piece Danny. Well done!!

Dave.

P.S. Danny, if you go to your gallery and find the picture you wish to show in your post, then look for the part that says 'Image Linking Codes' You can copy that direct link into your post when you are writing about your project. just click on 'Insert Image' just below the B button. Then paste your picture link into the space that pops up.
Press the Preview button before you post to see if it came out alright.

Hope this helps.

G'Day Jim...Yes, that is the product. I recommend you download the MSDS sheet and read it before using rust-kill. When I mentioned it to start with, I was talking about a company here in Australia (Wattyl) I am unsure how far they spread their products, but they have been taken over by an American paint company (Valspar) so you may be lucky to see if Valspar have it in their product range.

Cheers mate.

Tutorials, Techniques and Tips / Re: New to Photoshopping Pictures

Hi Danny, I do not own Photoshop, unfortunately, I cannot afford it. But that is not the end of the world, there are free programs out there that will probably do what you want. One of those is called GIMP. I have included a link for you to read and see if any of the programs would be what you are after.

G'Day Jim....Here in Aussie, we have a product called 'Rustkill' I put some on a Bobbin Sander that had a totally rusty table and it cleaned pretty much all of it off. The rest I cleaned with a Random Orbital sander and at the end, there were no stains in sight.

I am not sure what the product would be called in America, but there would have to be something of a similar nature over there.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Foot Pedal on Makita SJ401?
« on: January 14, 2016, 04:09:07 am »
Hi Bob, Yes, I have worked out that a foot pedal will work with the Makita saw. I have been trying to find one in Adelaide, but I think I might need to go further afield.

I managed to download the manual for the saw and after reading it, I realised that the blade changing tool was needed to change the baldes. Unfortunately, it never came with the saw when my brother gave t to me. I have asked him to see if he can put his hands on it.

Thanks for your reply mate.

Hi Brian. I know what you mean about not buying it at the time. It has happened to me as well.

I did a generic search with the following tag 'owl always love you scroll saw pattern' and quite a few pictures came up, some suitable for scroll saw work.

https://www.google.com.au/search?q=owl+always+love+you+scroll+saw+pattern&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwixjq6r6qfKAhVjG6YKHaKCAaMQ_AUIBygB&biw=1536&bih=722&dpr=1.25

I hope this helps.

Hi Jim....

I know what you mean, but I would still prefer your picture to the one I have included.

I have walked out of many parties or dinners because everyone was using their mobile phones. They probably didn't know I had left.
