5 Celsius in my yard this morning  I was sweeping up pine needle from next door, humidity I didn't care just wanted to get back to my work shop, too cold in there so up stairs to  warm 9c in side, roll on summer.

Put a nut on the end of the clamp bolt then sand the nut keeps the end of the bolt flat, works for me
Thanks for the info on on adjusting of the Excalibur Sheila I will try it out

I found the way to stop this problem was to feed the blade in from the top and tighten and this seems to keep the blade straight in the bottom blade holder

I've had the problem for about 12 months and have taken the lever out and sanded flat I also find forcing the wood through the saw will make the tension lever release

My bones and joints are over 70 years old and I just grin and bear, but I know that some people suffer a great deal of pain in their joints and that is up to your GP to help, my wife takes over 20 pain killers a day plus sleeping tablets at night, this is why I try not to complain about my aches and pains
