"Yesterday we were campaigning ... Today, you voted.."

LOL, sad but very true.
I have not missed an election since I registered when I was eighteen.  8)

When I was 18 you had to be 21 to vote.  ;D

I've never done that but, it would be easier to sew with a sharper needle.
Seems like alot of trouble for most things but, in your case, I can see how it would help alot.
What ever it takes to get the job done!

I would use plywood or what ever hard wood that suited me and finish it with anything I felt like using.
If it is for a child that might chew on it, I would NOT use walnut (some people are aleargic to it) and I would finish it with shellac as it is considered food safe for anything.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Wasted Blades?
« on: October 26, 2010, 12:01:47 pm »
I made the "turn the blade over" idea work for me yesterday!  :o
I was cutting fairly small areas in a pattern and only had four "Scroll America blades of the TW002 (two way tooth)" design.
I was cutting 1/4" oak plywood (both oak and plywood are hard on blades) and needed to make the blades last as long as possable. So when the first blade started getting so dull that I was having to push on the wood and having trouble following the line, I stopped, fliped the blade over and had a new set of teeth to cut with.
I still have one and a half blades left to do another pattern with.
Guess I had better re-order!  ;D

Yes, I have made one and yes, I have used it for cold (beer). Mine was made of plywood and it took several coats of polyurethane to stop the leaks but, I GOTTERDONE!
