I use wood dust and wood glue but it tends to go very dark, if you want a rapid repair fill the crevasse with wood dust and then use super glue, then more dust on top to harden the glue quickly

300,000 people have been affected by the quake and 100,000 homes have been damaged, the CBD will not be open for several more days as a large percent of the buildings have been damaged, but so far the weather is holding out

For lining the bottom of my trinket box's I glue velvet or felt to card and place it in the base of the box, cut the card to shape first for a good fit, I don't bother gluing the card to the bottom of the box as some don't like it and it makes for easy removal

The latest damage report is an estimate of 2 billion $ of damage but I think that is only the CBD area as the housing areas are wide spread down there and it will take time to get all damage reports, there is also heavy rain and winds predicted that wont help the matter, There is no reported deaths but a number of serious injuries most caused by falling debris
We are off to our daughters farm for fathers day and her birthday so wont know much more untill we are back home tonight
