I bet my german Shepard would eat it, wood or not!  He might be confused when it didn't run away though.

Thanks a lot for all the comments!  It means a lot coming from such a talented group.  I will admit this was a challenge for me.

I hear you Marion!  If they can make a program that automatically fixes red eye, you would think they'd make one that automatically colors in gray hair, or adjusts receding hairlines for the rest of us.  Come to think of it, why not have it automatically take off a few pounds and smooth out some wrinkles at the same time?

Here are a few pictures of a purpleheart and maple jewelry box I made for my wife.  This was my first real attempt at inlaying a monogram with the scrollsaw and then inlaying the purpleheart oval into the maple lid with a router inlay kit.  There are 45 compartments for earings in the top, and each drawer is segmented as she desired.  Overall the box is about 22 inches wide.

I am going to have to modify this.  We use kayaks instead of canoes, but the text stays the same.

Don't throw them out!  Just suspend your saw from the ceiling until you use them up.

Hey Marcellarius,  I hired that guy once.  I gave him a job nailing siding on my house.  I set him up with a ladder, a big bag of nails and a hammer.  A couple of hours later I went back to check on him and found a huge pile of the nails under the ladder.  I asked him what was going on and he said the nails were rejects, they had the points on the wrong end.  I said, "you idiot!  Couldn't you see those are for the other side of the house?"  I can't believe how so few people have any common sense anymore!

Thanks Guys!  Us Floridians really love hearing people complain about the weather.  Rained briefly last night.  Temp should be about 91 this afternoon.  What's not to love?

I love making bandsaw boxes, but there is more sanding than sawing involved.  Donna Menke has an excellent book "The Ultimate Band Saw Box Book".  Alex Snodgrass has some excellent videos available from Carter bandsaw products as well.
