If my calculation's are correct, that second board has over 203.125 board feet in it and the price per BF is $51.69 or there abouts. That is expensive wood but, GOSH! How many square feet of 1/2" scrolling wood could you get and how long would it take to cut it all!!!!

Also, I forgot to add...When cutting into a REAL sharp corner, BACK UP a little, do your turn and after your center drops or can be removed, go back and cut the "bump" back into the tight corner from the other direction. Does that make any sense to you at all?

Grab a piece of scrap wood, fairly soft like popular, about 12" long and 1/2" thick, and start cutting wavy lines, zig zag lines, straight lines, circles, and some with real sharp corners, in it. Go from one end to the other with each exercise. After you have done that twice or three times, you will be amazed how easy it can be.
Trust me, BTDT!

My answer is......MDF is 80% glue and glue is DEATH on scroll blades so, what is happening is...Your blades are getting dull in about 3" of cutting and wondering around in the material (and probably getting VERY hot too) so they wont track well. I'll bet if you do the same cut in solid wood, it will be much easier.
Even plywood has alot of glue in it but, nothing like MDF has. The thicker ply naturally has more layers of glue than the thinner stuff like 1/2" or less so, it is not quite as noticable.

My Malware caught it yesterday but, I ran a scan this AM as per Russ's suggestion anyway. Nothing was found.

Try Saran Wrap....That clingy stuff used in the kitchen to cover bowls of food. At lest you can open it up to let the moisture out and re-wrap it again a bit later. Or you could poke a few small holes with a toothpick to let some air circulate a little. I would think using any of the clear plastic covering would work if the moisture had a place to escape through small holes.

The first thing I thought of was "geodesic domes". I googled it and came up with some info on them....too much to go into here but, I'm sure you could get some ideas and help by doing that.

this is the video.

is it possible to cut real, blown out eggs?

Yes it is and has been done but, I don't think you could do something that fragile with a scroll saw. Don't ask me how it is done but, I have seen them. I guessing an x-acto knife and a steady hand or maybe a dremel tool with a very small burr and a very steady hand.

Are we trying to start a NAALH (National Association for the Advancement of Left Handers) chapter?
I'm a righty but, I hold no grudges against wrong handers.

That was meant to be funny. It is just a joke son, just a joke. I have a sick sense of humor.
