I purchased the magazine today, not because of the CNC article but because of other articles and patterns I saw that I wanted.  I judge each issue by what I want out of it, not one article. There was a discussion on here about the content of the scroll saw magazines a while back and I think many of the points  were are are valid. I would stil llove to see a digital issue. they would have my subscription.

Home security here is pretty simple.  My doors are locked for YOUR protection, not mine.  We live in a Redneck community  You will probably see American Flags, Men opening doors for ladies, people drinking beer and folks carrying guns!  Nuff Said!

Amen Tvman.  Thing is last time I ordered from Mike, I received the order in 2 days  Yes I said 2 days. I am sure if the USPS knew that was going to happen the package would have been held for a few days.

Once again Mile at Mikes Workshop comes through.  Asked a while back about cutting Azek and he suggested Polar Blades. Ordered some and the worked GREAT! The Azek cut and came apart like it was 1/4 ply. I ordered the blades on July 3 and Mike shipped them the same day.  Thanks Mike for all you do for all of us!!!!!

Now I also want to thank the USPS for their ( tounge in cheek) service  (notice no adjetives) It only took 9 days for my order to arrive. I know with the cutbacks and economy things are tight, but I didn't think going back carrier pigeon was the right choice.  Maybe we shoud nominate Mike to be in-charge of customer service there.  I know thing would improve drastically   Again Thanks Mike~

Hanging ith a good breez blowing, all id does is wobble back and forth -  any ideas??? >:( >:( >:(

Thanks for all the replies.  I passed the information on the to paddle owner and he will decide on the wood.  I even suggested using one wood for the handle, with a replaceable paddle made of a different wood... I will let you know what happens when ever it does.   again Thanks for the response.

I have been asked to make a paddle for making Brunswick stew.  The reason for a new paddle is the old one mildews and molds.  It is probably made of pine.  Does anyone have suggestions for a wood that would be better for this type of cooking.  The paddle will be about 4 feet long.  I have used cypress for outdoor items because it is resistant to mildew, insects warping and splitting.  Just trying to find the best wood for this use  All comments and suggestions will be appreciated.. Thanks

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: BB Ply
« on: June 29, 2013, 06:24:57 am »
Sometime in the past 6 months I read in one of the trade magazines that there were some manufactures starting to make BB ply is 4 X 8 sheets.  Look at the layers in BB and then some other ply ( Oak from HD or Lowes) and you will readily see the difference. Then you can compare it to what is labeled BB.

My personal preference wou;ld be to see the existing magazines offer a digital version.  One that I could download, save, read and reread. I can live with the current content in digital form. A poll from the magazines would be nice to determine if the content meets the current subscribers/purchasers needs. To try and start an new publication from the bottom will be difficult at best. Hey Editors are you listening?   Just my 2 cents worth.

I don't think I have ever had a scroll saw project where I had the thought -   Onl 20  cuts left. I enjoy what ever I cut and my thoughts are usually -  Dang only 20 more cuts and I have to find another project. Like  Dusty Dan, I have had projects that when complete, I knew I was unlikely to do another like it.
