I think Sue Mey has some awesome patterns - and you made a great job of cutting this one.

Firstly I'd like to thank Grampa (Paul) for his beautiful pattern.
I just stack cut 2 of them and I'm not sure which backer to use the Red or the Black??

They are cut in 4mm Birch ply and finished just with one coat of spray sanding sealer and one coat of celulose lacquer (in a HVLP spray can) I picked up the lacquer at a display stand at a big woodworking show (Yandles in Somerset) it's a new product and as you can see one coat is plenty.

The Coffee Shop / A funny for you ... The Sheer Negligee
« on: July 23, 2014, 05:36:14 pm »
A husband walks into Victoria 's Secret to purchase a sheer negligee for his wife. He is shown several possibilities that range from $250 to $500 in price -- the more sheer, the higher the price. Naturally, he opts for the most sheer item, pays the $500, and takes it home. He presents it to his wife and asks her to go upstairs, put it on, and model it for him.
Upstairs the wife thinks (she's no dummy), 'I have an idea. It's so sheer that it might as well be nothing. I won't put it on, but I'll do the modeling naked, return it tomorrow, and keep the $500 refund for myself.'

She appears naked on the balcony and strikes a pose.

The husband says, 'Good Grief! You'd think for $500, they'd at least iron it!'

He never heard the shot.

Got to researching scroll saws again this morning and got carried away.  I ordered a new scroll saw!

Seyco had the 21 inch Excalibur with foot peddle, stand and free shipping for $880.  I don't really need the stand nor the foot peddle but it was cheaper to buy it that way then to buy without and pay shipping/insurance.

Hope I can sell the DeWalt!

How do I tell my wife??????????

CAREFULLY  - with loads of flowers and chocolate !!!!!

The Coffee Shop / Appologies
« on: July 22, 2014, 01:19:12 pm »
I would like to appologise to anyone who makes a comment or shows off their work if I have missed posting a reply. I promise I'm not ignoring you or think the work doesn't rate a reply. It's because I'm still looking after my Dad after his stroke and I don't get the time in here I would like to. The work posted in here is absolutely awesome and deserves nice comments. I only get to spend 10 mins at a time in here before I have to go check on Dad. which isn't enough time to look at all the fantastic work and reply to all the postings. As Dad's health improves I will be able to spend longer in the forum and leave comments that the work so richly deserves, but till then please accept my appologies and I will post when I can.

The Coffee Shop / Re: Old PC Died Lost all my email contacts

Even though the PC had died, a computer shop might be able to recover the data from the old hard drive by removing it and connecting it to another working pc - it's worth a phone call to find out.  (thats how I managed to get back 90% of my stuff when my PC died)
