With the latest version of Adobe Reader, you can now easily resize any of Steve's Patterns. In order to do this you will need the latest version of Adobe Reader, you can get it here www.adobe.com/products/reader.html and it's still free. Once updated simply right click on any of Steve's patterns, go to print, and it will bring a print window up with a poster button. It's pretty self explanatory, but I have made a simple tutorial to make it easier. You will be able to increase or decrease sizes till your hearts content. Hope this helps.

(Update 1/31/13)
Adobe has updated their reader again, it is now ver. XI. But it is no different from the prior version. The link above will take you to the even later version. I have also made a video about this and it also includes how to re-size patterns from books and magazines. Here is the link. www.scroll-saw-forum.com/2013/01/how-to-re-size-patterns_31.html

Hey Jim,

I'm really glad you had a good experience with your new 40-695, I just wish mine would have gone as well as yours did. I received my new 40-695 last Wednesday, and have it packed up to ship back tomorrow. the story is too long to tell here, but if you would like to read my experience I posted it on my blog. www.scroll-saw-forum.com

Good Luck to you and I sincerely hope your saw brings you years of creating great sawdust!

Richard, I'm glad I can't say I understand what you are going through, but I do know it takes a man to conquer certain obstacles, I guess you did just that! Congratulations!

Thanks to all of you for your opinions! You guys, and gals, are great! I also love Dan's idea of adding a sidewalk, I just cant make it work on this one being the grid is too big and I don't want to cut it down now.
I will make a new pattern with the side walk incorporated for the next one I make.

Again Thanks Everyone!

OK, so far the overwhelming opinion is "NO BASE" it just looks so good in person though! For some reason without the base it just seems like its missing something to me, so I am open to any suggestions you guys might have to make her look better without the base, or should I just leave well enough alone? I'm usually not this indecisive, but I really want this to be nice when I'm done with it and something just doesn't feel right with the grid just sitting on a table.

Thanks again
Bob

I've been making this Marilyn Monroe Desk Plaque, Statue, Sculpture, not really sure what to call it. But the real issue being debated in my household is "Should it be on the base, or just the grid?" Personally I'm leaning towards the base, but not committed to that opinion yet, I do see the other argument too. It's not finished yet, the base in the picture is not permanently attached. So what do you think, which way does it look better? And while I got ya, what term would you use to describe it?

Thanks for your help!

Bob

PS...Thanks to Big Pete for the inspiration of this project.

After reading the very poorly written "Sellers Agreement" I would be extremely leery of this website. JMHO

Very nice presentation DW, Thank you for your time and effort in putting it together. I'm sure it will inspire many to start making shells, I for one!
