Hi Paul, I used corel draw to that. If you just need a pattern or two for yourself you can use any program that allows kerning of the letters. Make the letters overlap using the kerning feature and print it out. Use a pencil to draw the interlock between the letters and your all set. I pretty sure Microsoft Word has the ability to kern. If you don't have that try open office. I'll se if I can find a program that does kerning for you if those don't work. If you don't mind learning a more complicated program you could use Inkscape. It is a free vector graphics program that has many of the features of Corel Draw. You can find it a www.inkscape.org.

The Coffee Shop / Re: Steve's Blog post for Sunday

I have reached out to her but have not received a reply back. I'm sure she is busy with family and arrangements. If I get more information I plan to do something for the family.

I receive a lot of email. Sometimes I hear from people having medical problems and other bad events. They are always hard to read but this one kicked me right in the gut. I could not work on the blog yesterday. I just needed to get away from it for a while. I'm not sure why it hit me so hard but it did.

Nicely produced Steven. That hobby seems to be getting more popular all the time.

Hey GB, actually it's pretty tough on her because I only sleep 3 or 4 hours a night. I use to be able to sleep a full night but now if I go to bed I just lay there awake. I tried to force it for years but I finally just gave up. The bad thing is my wife has sleep apnea so between the two of us were pretty much a mess.

Hi Kepy, I feel for you man. I just went through the same procedure. Had to wait 3 weeks to get the test and find out my results. I had no sign of heart disease but I was diagnosed with exercise induced hypertension. More meds, more exercise and better diet for me. Good luck with your CT scan.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Hey Steve, about your screen saver
« on: March 15, 2011, 01:09:44 am »
Thanks for the input Jim. I am having the same problem on my dual monitor setup also. I was wondering if it was just my setup or a bug in the saver. Guess that answers that. I'll play with it and see if I can make that work. Here is the funny thing about that problem. I have my main computer with dual monitors. like you said the second monitor does not activate but I also have three other computers on my desk that are connected to the same keyboard and mouse using the network tool synergy. I install the screen saver on all four machines. The ones that are networked go to screen saver when the main computer activates. It looks cool when it happens but for the life of me I can't figure out how that is happening. Got to love these personal confusers.

I had a few bites on the screen saver and pattern but I have not put much time into actually getting set up to do it. I think I will set it up this weekend.

This forum has that ability but I have it turned off. It has bugs. If I ever update the forum to version 2 I try it again.

Hey Charlie, no problem with the account. Good to have you back. Still waiting to see if anyone is interested in the screen saver. Had several requests today but I have not set up a form to order them yet. Just an idea I'm playing with.

HWPlmbr1@ I also remember laying in the back window of my dad's car while he drove 80mph on the interstate. He would stop and pick up hitchhikers and not once did they ever have a chainsaw. He would stop at the grocery and leave all three of us kids in the car. No one ever kidnapped us even though I think that was his plan sometimes. If we got on his nerves he would threaten to pull the car over and beat our butts. It was not just a threat. No one ever called child protective services and reported a crazy man beating his kids on the side of the road. We survived and I sure wish my dad was around to talk about all those fun trips we had. I never felt abused but I sure felt loved.
