The last I heard was it had been stalled until 2012.  I'm still making and selling kids toys.  if in doubt leave em unfinished, or get the msds from the manufacturer of your finishes.

I'm not thinking you will like the let nature take it's course idea.  Sounds like a rough go but it won't be as bad as you think.  Have the surgery.  The time will pass quickly.

I actually had a board warp on me while in contact with my saws table the other day.  I think it was due to the damp cold air.  After it was cut I took it indoors and it relaxed to it's flat state again.  I have had a few things warp when oiled but they usually go back to their flat state as well.

Just one of those things this time of year I'm afraid.

I sure wish I had known that lemon oil never really cures and will stain cloth forever, basically.  I never would have switched.  It will take me forever to use up the 6 bottles I have.
