Pattern Requests. / Compound Cutting.... :+}

I bought 15 patterns from Shelia of Bird Houses.  Was a little Leary with the first one as I have never
attempted this.  Well I'm on the last 2 and Simple LOVE Cutting them.  Its like waiting for that
Surprise lil house to come popping out of the middle of that square hunk of wood.  And to look at each
and admire.  Anyway....  BY ANY CHANCE....  Do we have a Designer of these out there that would
let me have some patterns?  Not particular of what that lil surprise might be inside.  Well now I shall

Look here most days and noticed I haven't seen a single post from our friend Mahendra, so I sent
him a email.  He just had a Major Surgery.  Recuperating at present.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Plaque Hanger.... ?

Marcel gave me a way, but was wondering what everyone eles does. 
                  Plaques or whatever that are cut on 1/8 or even 1/4 stock.  Each will also have a
1/8 backer.  Not enough wood for a sawtooth hanger which I always use.  Any methods out there?

     Finished these some time ago.  Just got out of showing, but what the heck.  Lets see what
kind of comments I can get.  Of course....I ALWAYS wish for comments of pricing.  Tks....  Danny  :+}

Oh yea....Cut both from 1/4" BB.  Was supposed to have the center sunk, but Yepper you guess it
Wrong way with the table slanting.  Duh!  Hey I salvaged it anyway.  I just added a 1/8 bb under
the middle and added a 1/8 as a backer.  Cool huh?

Some of Ya's may remember me asking for info. on this back yonder.  Well Dan26 was nice enough
to make me a pattern for his version and this is the way mine came out.  Of course....Pros n Cons....
And maybe what might be my asking price at this years Craft Show in Nov.  Thanks....  Danny  :+}

General Scroll Saw Talk / Using Aleens Clear Gel Glue....:+(

Not sure, but think Dustin mentioned once about using this type of glue.  Well He did the trick and
convinced me to buy some.  Well after my first Failure with using this I just decided to experiment.
Used two sanded pieces of PINE....Applied the Clear Gel as Normal and WAITED.  Left it basically
just sitting there for approx. 1 hour.  Was ABLE TO PULL it apart with very little EFFORT. 

I also did the same with the PINE wood, but used the WHITE Alleen Super Turbo Blue.  Same time
waiting....  THIS IS A SUPER, SUPER GLUE....  Could not pry apart and decided to give it a GOOD GO
with tools.  Took the wood apart and the glue joint NEVER let go.  So there....My 2 cents....  Danny  :+}

General Scroll Saw Talk / Small, Novelty Bird House.... ?

Got the IDEA for this years craft show to construct a SMALL type bird house of various designs.

Is there anyone that has built this?  Was thinking the size around 3 to 4 inches in height.
Guess the type that are on the Simple side. 

Any help would be Appreciated.

Computer questions / Have a Setting or Monitor Condition.... :+(

Changed monitors a couple weeks ago to a larger screen one. 

Have the computer set to SLEEP during the night.  Wondering....Is this advisable? 

The sleeping part works, but it leaves a WHITE monitor picture.

Pretty bright which isn't right.

Computer questions / Can u have 2 many Anti-Virus?

Gots a maybe small problem....  Bought a new PC last year.  It came with a
Anti-Virus called Webroot.  Guess have been satisfied.  Well I forgot I had a
on-going renewal thing with Norton.  Yep they done took the bucks out of the
ole checking account and sent me a Thank You email.  Money wise there isn't
any problem.  What happens with having Both?

I want to Thank Mahendra for this Life Like Pattern he designed for me.  Thanks

Didn't count the number of times I stood on my head (LOL) feeding that FDUR#1
blade up thru them holes, but I would feel safe in counting over 300.  Worked on
it off n on for a couple weeks now.  Was many touch n go n hold your breath areas.

And Of course I just Love to hear Good or Bad when I show something.  Let r rip.

Computer questions / SAVING LOG-IN INFORMATION....

Here I go again....I know I have asked this question and months ago one of you gave
me the answer that fixed everything.  Well so far my example is Yahoo Email.  Where
when I clicked on email the window popped open showing mine and the wifes email
address.  Normally all we had to do is click on one of our addresses and the password
would show.  DOT-DOT-DOT-DOT thing.  Now all this happens, but another window
pops up saying it the wrong PASSWORD....  So now we have to TYPE the password
in each time.  This happened months ago and basically was a simple fix by clicking on
TOOLS-OPTIONS AND MAKING SURE THE BOX WAS CHECKED THAT SAYS SAVE
ID AND PASSWORDS.  It had and still does have the check.  Have RESTARTED the PC
Didn't help.  Same thing.  Any advice would be GREAT....  Thanks...........Danny  :+}

There is a lot of companies putting there commercials on our T.V. and RADIO. 
HOME PROTECTION.... We do not have this at present.  I just wonder how many
of you have this set up in and around your home.  I am considering.  For those
that do could you post the PROS and CONS of having this service in place.  Danny  :+}

Computer questions / Changing a File type ??

What is the procedure to change a downloaded file to another format?  Tks.... :+}

Reason I ask is I have used Inkscape procedures to be able to make the cut out
area a light gray and the cut line red.  Fill and Stroke thing.  I have a file that I
downloaded which is a PDF file and I CANNOT go thru the procedures to do this.

What is a PDF FILE?
What is a JPG FILE?                Thank Yas again....  Danny  :+}
