The Coffee Shop / what Charles Dearing posted on facebook this morning
« on: February 22, 2013, 10:55:37 am »

I'm starting a site called http://PatternPitStop.com/ and I'd like to have patterns submitted from you designers for consideration. If you're NOT a designer, I'd also like feedback of what you'd like to see (or NOT see) in a pattern site.

As most of you are aware i been working on a 13"x48" project of the last supper on and of for the past month or sohttp://stevedgood.com/community/index.php?topic=12534.0 its a Charlies Dearing Pattern Thanks Charlies if your watching. well i got it finished today i made the frame from 1"x2" oak.i know a lot of you don't use glass but i can see someone poking there fingers in there and breaking a part of it so i decided to use a glass to protect it.the finished size is 16"x51" including the frame.i used black felt between the project and the backer board.theirs 404 inside cuts and it took around 38Hrs to complete.hope you like it.

The Coffee Shop / just had to post this
« on: January 25, 2013, 09:39:54 am »
A man was riding a bus, minding his own business, when
the gorgeous woman next to him started to breastfeed her baby.
The baby wouldn't take it, so she said,
"Come on sweetie, eat it all up or ....
I'll have to give it to this nice man next to us."
Five minutes later, the baby was still
not feeding, so she said,
"Come on, honey. Take it or I'll give
it to this nice man here."
A few minutes later,
the anxious man blurted out,
"Come on kid.
Make up your mind!
I was supposed to get off four stops ago!"

The Coffee Shop / starting to get frustrated
« on: January 10, 2013, 07:04:41 pm »
think i bitten of more then i can chew.i started a rather large project which i plan on donating to our local cancer relay.its a charlie dearing pattern of the last supper it 4 feet long and 18 inches wide.i'm cutting it from 1/4" meranti board.i'm using spiral blades to cut it but having alot of problem cohtroling the blades i know practice, practice, practice. i used them before but not an such a large piece its just sterting to get to me i guess the trouble is in controling the project more then the blade.ole will keep at it i suppose and see what happens.
enough of my babbling folks hop you all have a good one.
Todd
