The Coffee Shop / A couple "C I" moments....

You guys are going to get bored with these but I gotta tell you...trying to spread the word about these wonderful tools for us 'deef' folks!

When I got home yesterday I wound and set my antique mantel clock. the first time it chimed I nearly jumped out of the chair. So I listened to it ticking in the background the rest of the day. This morning I'm standing in the bathroom, about 25 feet from the clock with the door almost closed and the thought struck me..."There's that clock ticking!"
I've been working at the desk all day and the damn thing was driving me nutzo! I finally had to stop the pendulum to get some peace and quiet...

Yesterday before we left I noticed that our annual visitors are back on the pond out back. About 30 geese and 10 ducks winter over here all the time. This morning I noticed that my son didn't put the thermometer back up when we sealed the deck last weekend so I opened my sliding door to check for the bracket. Just then something startled the flock and they were raising a ruckus as they took flight!
Ain't heard nothing like that in a long, long time!

It gets better almost every minute!!!!!

Remember that satellite that recently was going to  drop a 300# chunk .....
somewhere - maybe Canada , maybe India , maybe Washington State .... but it
was going to fall "somewhere"? And, there was "only a 1/3200 chance"
that it would injure somebody? Then, NASA announced that it had fallen
to earth, but they didn't know where? Well, here's the straight skinny.

And realized that I can't flip my reading glasses and sunglasses on top of my head any more.....

Local coverage shows people dressed like they are going to a Friday night High School football game in Wisconsin!

Temperature is currently 48? and falling! Winds at 16 to 25 mph!

During the wedding rehearsal, the groom approached the pastor with an unusual offer. "Look, I'll give you $100 if you'll change the wedding vows a little. When you get to me, and the part where I'm to promise to, 'Love, honor and obey' and 'forsaking all others be faithful to her forever', I'd appreciate it if you'd just leave that part out."
He passed the minister a $100 bill and walked away satisfied.

It is now the day of the wedding, and the bride and groom have moved to that part of the ceremony where the vows are exchanged.
When it comes time for the groom's vows, the pastor looks the young man in the eye and says: "Will you promise to prostrate yourself before her, obey her every command and wish, serve her breakfast in bed every morning of your life and swear eternally before God and your lovely wife that you will not ever even look at another woman, as long as you both shall live?"
The groom gulped and looked around, and said in a tiny voice, "Yes."

The groom then leaned toward the pastor and hissed, "I thought we had a deal?"

The pastor handed back the $100 bill and whispered... "She made me a much better offer."

Tomorrow morning at approximately 10:00 a.m. I will be hooked up to my new 'bionic ear'!

I have no idea what my initial reactions will be but if it only work half as well as predicted I am sure I will be a basket case!

My sincere THANKS go out to all who have wished me well and have said a prayer or two for the success of the Implant...

Computer questions / New Web Browser....

I stumbled on a new web browser last week and have been trying it out.

BlackHawk Web Browser..http://www.netgate.sk/blackhawk/

It runs on the same 'engine' as Google's Chrome and is fully compatible with Chrome. In fact you can 'Sync' BlackHawk to your Google Chrome account and it will transfer everything so you are set up just like you are in Chrome. Everything looks the same except for a much neater Logo!

I've been running them side by side for over a week now and I find the BH to be smooth, fast and very clean.

If you want to try it just download and give it a shot...it is FREE as are all the browsers.

If you want to 'geek around' download it and try it out....I recommend it.
