The Coffee Shop / We need some heavy duty prayers
« on: February 09, 2014, 09:58:30 pm »
Hi scrollers, one of the students at my school is a little girl who has had to endure more in her short lifetime than most of us see in a whole lifetime. When she was very young she had a double lung transplant.. She didn't get to go to until she
was in grade 5, she is now in grade10 and is A very hard worker and a delight to work with. Since January she has been ill, she has lost weight and will be going in for more surgery within the next few weeks. Her anti-rejection drugs are not working like they should. Lydia is a fighter, but she may not be strong enough, so I ask that you keep her in your prayers. I will keep you posted on her progress. Thanks, Clyde

A good friend of mine is about to retire from the Canadian Coast Guard. His passion are his grand kids and his TriGlide. I am fortunate to have both is the same picture. Could one of you fine pattern makers out there do something with this picture? if so I would appreciate your go at it. Thanks, Clyde

The Coffee Shop / Info you should know
« on: February 03, 2014, 07:31:31 pm »
NOW AIN?T THAT THE TRUTH!!

I know you have been laying awake at night wondering why baby
diapers have brand names such as "Luvs", "Huggies," and "Pampers',
while undergarments for old people are called
"Depends".

Well here is the low down on the whole thing.

When babies have to go potty in their pants, people are still gonna Luv' em, Hug
'em and Pamper em.

When old people go potty in their pants, it "Depends" on who's in the will!

Glad I got that straightened out so you can rest your mind.

The Coffee Shop / Patience in a virtue
« on: February 03, 2014, 07:28:34 pm »
A State Trooper was patrolling late at night off the main highway.
He sees a couple in a car, with the interior light brightly glowing.
He carefully approaches the car to get a closer look. Then he sees a young man behind the wheel, reading a computer magazine.

He immediately notices a young woman in the rear seat, filing her fingernails.
Puzzled by this surprising situation, the trooper walks to the car and gently raps on the driver's window.

The young man lowers his window. 'Uh, yes, Officer'?
The trooper asks: 'What are you doing'?
The young man says: 'Well, Officer, I'm reading a magazine'.
Pointing towards the young woman in the back seat the trooper says: 'And her, what is she doing'?
The young man shrugs: 'Sir, I believe she's filing her fingernails'.

Now, the trooper is totally confused.
A young couple, alone, in a car, at night in a lover's lane ...
And nothing obscene is happening!

The trooper asks: 'What's your age, young man'?
The young man says: 'I'm 22, sir'.
The trooper asks: ' And her, .... what's her age'?
The young man looks at his watch and replies: 'She'll be 18 in 11 minutes.. '

The Coffee Shop / Rolling power outages
« on: January 02, 2014, 06:06:13 pm »
The temps are so low that the power company has started rotating power outages. We had ordered our meal at the restaurant . Got our soup and egg roles and then it happened. We ate the remainder in the dark. So now we are home in our nice toasty warm house. Problem is the outages have not reached here yet. So we are settling in you a cool few hours when it starts. Good night Johnboy and Maryellen. ;D

The Coffee Shop / Merry Christmas everyone
« on: December 24, 2013, 07:33:43 am »
It is Christmas Eve and I know the next week will be a busy time for most of us. Be careful when you are out and about, enjoy your families and the times you may share. Be good to one another, and most of all take a few minutes to reflection the reason for the season. Merry Christmas to all my friends and thank you for your support and the laughs we shared over the past 12 months. Clyde

The Coffee Shop / coffee alert.

Two old boys, Mick & Paddy, have been promoted from privates to L/Cpls.
>Not long afterward, they're out for a walk and Mick says, "Hey, Paddy,
there's the NCO Club; let's you and me step in."

>"But we?re only privates," protests Paddy.

>"We?re L/Cpls now," says Mick, pointing to his stripe and pulling him inside.
"Now, Paddy, I'm a-gonna sit down and have me a drink."

>"But we're privates," says Paddy.

>"You blind, boy?" asks Mick, pointing again at his stripe. "We're L/Cpls
now!"

>So they have their drink, and pretty soon a one of the Army lass?s comes up to
Mick.

>"You're cute," she says, "and I'd like to date you, but I've got a bad case of
gonorrhoea."

>Mick pulls his friend to the side and whispers, "Paddy, go look in the
dictionary and see what gonorrhoea means. If it's okay, give me the okay
sign."

>So Paddy goes to look it up, comes back, and gives Mick the big Thumbs Up.

>Three weeks later Mick is laid up in the infirmary with a terrible case of
gonorrhoea.

>Mick says to Paddy, "Why the hell did you give me the thumbs up?"

>"Well Mick, in the dictionary, it say gonorrhoea affects only the privates."
Pointing to his stripe, he says, "and we're L/Cpls now!"

Intarsia / Poodle
« on: December 09, 2013, 07:16:44 pm »
Recently I had a request to make an intarsia of a poodle. I worked from some pictures and this is the result. I used Jatoba, Kempas, Maple and Purple Heart.  I hope the customer likes it, I will find out tomorrow.
