The Coffee Shop / BE SPECIFIC when you go to the Doctor's office!
« on: July 15, 2012, 10:51:15 pm »
Kevin walked into a doctor's office and the receptionist asked him what he had. Kevin said: 'Shingles.' So she wrote
down his name, address, medical insurance number and told him to have a seat.

Fifteen minutes later a nurse's aide came out and asked Kevin what he had. Kevin said, 'Shingles.' She wrote down his height, weight, a complete medical history and told Kevin  to wait in the examining room.

A half hour later a nurse came in and asked Kevin what he had. Kevin said, 'Shingles.' So the nurse gave Kevin a  blood
test, a blood pressure test, an electrocardiogram, and told Kevin to take off all his clothes and wait for the doctor.

An hour later the doctor came in and found Kevin sitting patiently in the nude and asked Kevin what he had. Kevin said, 'Shingles.' The doctor asked, 'Where?' Kevin said, 'Outside on the truck. Where do you want me to unload 'em??'

The Coffee Shop / Back Home and busy!
« on: July 15, 2012, 01:11:29 pm »
Got home late yesterday, have been attending to my patient who is recovering well from the surgery so I now have a little time...

SAW Expo...
I enjoyed the show and met some very nice people. Missed my seminars due to a problem with a blockage in my 'good' ear that was more annoying than debilitating...wax buildup and it dropped into the canal and blocked the good eardrum. When I couldn't get it to come out I opted to go to the ER and have them remove it. This happens every couple of years and always at an inconvenient time. It took them a while and it was a major 'hunk' of stuff but no harm done. IF you have ever had this problem you know well what I am talking about and if not you will not understand. It happens and there is NOTHING you can do to prevent it!

Had a nice visit with Cherie and Juan, spent quality time with Jim Stiek, and then finally connected with Katie & her mom.. She is a lovely lady and fun to be around. Of course with her being a teacher and my friend Julie being a former teacher and principal they had lots to share also.
Sure wish I could go to th show in WI but only one a year is feasible so next year, God willing, I will head to Wisconsin.

All vendors were very helpful and  easy to talk with. Met Ray (Seyco) and had to deliver a big hug from Sheila which was just a tad embarrassing for both of us!!! Told him I am saving my nickels for the EX21 and he said he will be happy to wait for me. Spent time with the folks from Bushton and they are going to see if they can come up with a way to adapt the blade clamps to work on the older models of the Hawk so the blade change will be less cumbersome.

One major critique!
Took a long hard look at the PS Wood  Machines scroll saw...
My impression is that the blade clamping system really sucks. Even the woman demonstrating had problems so I would NEVER consider purchasing that machine. Were it not for that it would be a pretty good machine.

Cherie got many more pictures than I and has given the link to her Facebook photos so visit there for some really good looks at the booths and especially the Project Entries.

I have a few I will post later.

For now I am playing nurse, caregiver, cook, maid, gofer, etc. for my sister and she is responding well.

One day, shortly after joining the PGA tour in 1965,
Lee Trevino, a professional golfer and married man,
was at his home in Dallas, Texas mowing his front lawn,
 as he always did.

A lady driving by in a big, shiny Cadillac stopped in front of his house,
lowered the window and asked, "Excuse me, do you speak English?"

Lee responded, "Yes Ma'am, I do."

The lady then asked, "What do you charge to do yard work?"

Lee said, "Well, the lady in this house lets me sleep with her".

The woman blushed and hurriedly put the car into gear and sped off.

The Coffee Shop / Sunday 'go to meeting clothes'.....
« on: July 11, 2012, 10:25:08 am »
SUNDAY  CLOTHES

A  little boy was walking down a dirt road after church one Sunday  afternoon when he came to a crossroads where he met a little girl  coming from the other direction.
'Hi,'  replied the little girl.
'Where are you going?' asked the  little boy.
'I've been to church this morning and I'm on  my way home,' answered the little girl.

'I'm also on my  way home from church. Which church do you go to?' asked the little  boy.
'I go to the Catholic church at the top of the hill,'  replied the little girl. 'What about you?  '

'I go to  the Lutheran church back down the road,' replied the little boy. They  discover that they are both going the same way so they decided that  they'd walk together.  They  came to a low spot in the road where spring rains had partially flooded the road, so there was no way that they could get across to  the other side without getting wet. 'If I  get my new Sunday dress wet, my Mom's going to skin me alive,' said  the little girl. 'My  Mom'll tan my hide, too, if I get my new Sunday suit wet,' replied the  little boy. 'I'll  tell you what I think I'll do,' said the little girl. 'I'm gonna pull  off all my clothes and hold them over my head and wade  across. ''That's a good idea, 'replied  the little boy. 'I'm going to do the same thing with my  suit.'

So they  both undressed and waded across to the other side without getting  their clothes wet. They were standing there in the sun waiting to drip  dry before putting their clothes back on, when the little boy finally  remarked:

'You know, I never realized  before just how much difference there really is between  a CATHOLIC and a LUTHERAN!!!'
