I finished this yesterday and I gave it to the customer today and she loved it.  Thanks Paul for the pattern but I'm sorry I had to change it, I actually preferred the one you made but the customers always right.

I was just thinking, its a pity that we don't have a chat button on here so that we could chat to others on here the same as Face Book.  Along with the LIKE button of course.

General Scroll Saw Talk / EX 21 Users.
« on: November 07, 2011, 12:52:36 am »
I would like to know from the EX 21 users, do you use the hold down foot or have you taken it off.  My reason for asking is that I have not used a hold down in years and I know I've only had my EX 21 for a few weeks, but it seems to bounce the wood around an awful lot without the help of the hold down.  To me hold downs get in the way and its time consuming.  Help please.

A humorous email is doing the rounds purporting to contain extracts from church newsletters.  Her are a few examples:
Don't let worry kill you off - let the church help.

Miss Charlene Mason sang I Will Not Pass This Way Again giving obvious pleasure to the congregation.

For those of you who have children and don't know it, we have a nursery downstairs.

Next Thursday there will be tryouts for the choir. They need all the help they can get.

Irving Benson and Jessie Carter were married on Oct. 24 in the church. So ends a friendship that began in their school days.

At the evening service tonight, the sermon topic will be 'What the Hell?'  Come early and listen to our choir practice.

Eight new choir robes are needed due to the addition of several new members and to the deterioration of some of the old ones.

Please place your donation in the envelope along with the deceased person you want remembered.

Potluck supper Sunday at 5pm - prayer and medication to follow.

The ladies of the church have cast off clothing of every kind. They may be seen in the basement on Friday afternoon.

Low Self-Esteem Support Group will meet Thursday at 7pm. Please use back door.

The eighth graders will be presenting Shakespeare's Hamlet in the church basement Friday at 7pm. The congregation is invited to attend this tragedy.

The Associate Minister unveiled the church's new campaign slogan last Sunday, " I upped My Pledge - Up Yours.

This is a Mick Shambro pattern it as 233 cuts and it took 11.5 hours cutting time.  It measures 12.5 x 10.5inches.  No spirals were used.  Its cut from 3mm marine ply and the frame I found in a 2nd hand shop, cleaned it up and put a teak stain on it.  Hope you like it.

My beautiful husband has brought me an Excalibur for my birthday and I was just wondering if you look after the table in the same way as you would a DeWalt?

The Coffee Shop / Computer Died
« on: September 23, 2011, 06:14:28 am »
Last Sunday my modem died  :'(so on Monday I did a deal with my service provider and they sent me a new modem 'free of charge'.  :D It arrived on Thursday and I had a few problems with connection ???and had to go to the local computer shop they asked me to take my computer in to them, so I dropped it off & they said that it would be ready to be picked up in 1 hour.  Went back a little earlier and the lady at the desk asked if I had had a noise when it was switched on yes I said its just the fan (because that was the problem once before), no said the lady the hard drive is dying. C#*p. :-[ While thinking that the computer tech. came out looking very sheepish and told me that it had just died.  :'( Yes I lost the lot.  :'( Thankfully I had backed up all of my photos, :D but nothing else.  >:( So I have spent a fair bit of today putting back things I can remember, ??? wrong time to have a seniors moment.  ::) So the moral of this story consists of 3 parts. 1 don't do deals to get a free modem.  2 Listen to the computer when it is making a weird noise and 3 backup EVERYTHING. :-*

General Scroll Saw Talk / Would like.
« on: August 18, 2011, 03:05:13 am »
You know what I would like to see on here, yes a like button would be good, but I'd also like a button next to each topic so that you could highlight a topic that you would like to keep referring too.  For instance say that I found out how often you clean your saw and I found it really good information but knew I would forget the answer (seniors  moment) then I could highlight that topic and know where it was the next time I was looking.  Just a thought.
