The Coffee Shop / More Church Newletter Blooper
« on: January 25, 2012, 12:43:45 am »
Here are some more bloopers from church newsletters.

The sermon this morning: 'Jesus walks on water'.  The sermon tonight: 'Searching for Jesus'.

Ladies, don't forget the rummage sale.  Its a chance to get rid of those things that are not worth keeping around the house. Bring your husbands.

Scouts are saving aluminum cans, bottles and other items to be recycled. Proceeds will be used to cripple children.

Please place your donation in the envelope along with the deceased person you want remembered.

This evening at 7pm there will be a hymn singing in the park across from the church. Bring a blanket and come prepared to sin.

The pastor would appreciate it if the ladies of the congregation would lend him their electric girdles for the pancake breakfast next Sunday.

Weight Watchers will meet at 7pm at the First Presbyterian Church. Please use large double door at the side entrance.

The Coffee Shop / Magic mirror
« on: January 09, 2012, 12:47:03 am »
An old lady goes to a market and buys a magic mirror.  When she gets it home she stands it up in her bedroom and looks at herself in it.  Her husband is watching her from outside the door.  Suddenly she says "Magic mirror on the floor make me the most beautiful of them all" Puff suddenly she is tall, blonde and extremely shapely.  When she walks away her husband goes up the mirror and says "Magic mirror on the floor make my willie touch the floor", and puff his legs fall off.

The name and dog bones were an order for Christmas gifts, they were made from 1/4" Tasmanian Blackwood.  The bookmarks I put in with my Christmas cards, they are made from 2.5mm marine ply, I made 30 or 40 of them.  I hope you like them.

The Coffee Shop / Finally
« on: December 01, 2011, 12:54:18 am »
Finally we are off water restrictions after 11years.  The dams are 3/4 to almost full which is great news.  There were virtually empty at one point but thanks to all the rain that we have had over the last year we are back to normal.  Plus we can now get bananas for around $3.00 a kilo they went up to $16 earlier in the year because of the Queensland floods and hurricane.  So now life's good.

Ask Steve a question. / Cats
« on: November 23, 2011, 12:59:06 am »
Hi Steve, I was showing a friend of mine a couple of dog bone names I had just finished using you key ring pattern maker and she said that it was,'t fair to cat lovers because they should have something too.  So I was wondering if you could come up with a similar sort of pattern maker but with a fish as the main outline so we could put the names inside.  Thanks
