Title: Table Saw...Bosch GTS1031 10-Inch Portable Jobsite Table Saw
Post by: GrayBeard on March 03, 2012, 12:06:46 am
Looking at upgrading from my $89 Skil recon table saw and this seems to be a definite possibility for my space and financial requirements.
Lots of good reviews and a few 'nit-pickers'.

Comments?

Well it looks like a good saw.  I don't have it nor have I seen it on job sites.

I have the Dewalt DW744 saw.  I like it for the max rip width of 24 1/2".  The Bosch is 18".

Since carpentry is my work, I need the wider rips.

The Dewalt is more expensive, but it might be worth it in the long run.

Oh and I do like the fence and mechanism on the Dewalt.  From what I've seen of other saws it is much better.

I don't think you would go wrong with the Bosch saw if that meets your needs and price range.

I have the Bosch 4100 Saw without the gravity stand, I've been real happy with it. The wider cut on the 4100 works better for me.
