Title: help with a picture

Was wondering if someone could make a pattern from this picture. Going to be a gift for wife and the grandparents. Thanks for any help.
Also what is the best thickness and type of wood to use for this?
If this pic won't work I will see if I can get another one.

Guess I should have put this in the first post don't need the background just the kids. I am willing to pay something. Wife Birthday is in a couple of weeks and would like to try it for her. Thanks!

Thank you...I will try this one for know, but might have my Sis-in-law take a better picture. Thanks for the help.
