Mom was too shy to post but I think she deserves a pat on the back!

It took her about 60 hrs to get it finished. She used baltic birch & stained all the darker parts. The sanding part was my job! lol
-
Super job! The clock turned out beautiful. I can see why it took 60 hours.

Very nice

They are beautiful clocks, very nicely cut too. As Newfie said, where did you get the patterns? thanks for sharing.

They came from a site called the Berry Basket. She had to buy them. She loves to make em & has such a great sence of accomplishment when one gets finished but there isn't much of a "market" for them. And they take alot of time to finish so even charging 500$ for one is like taking a loss. We've looked up some others & they were charging extremely high prices. Another person was selling it as a kit. They'd cut it all out & just send the pieces! LOL Even there, they were almost twice of what we were trying to get. If we don't sell them, then I guess we will just hafta add a room onto the house for her clocks!

You go, Mom! I had a living room full of clocks, including that one. Had to move to this retirement community, and brought a few favorites. It isn't the hours spent. If you like doing it, and can afford it, enjoy!
At least I was able to move to a place that has a woodshop and could bring the DeWalt.
