Title: Just for fun...
Post by: Mainewoods on February 23, 2012, 07:22:21 pm
I've been working on a lengthy project for my wife, but yesterday I decided to take a break from it and cut this.  I found the pattern online, and because there weren't any instructions, it took me a while to figure out how it went together.  1/8" Baltic Birch.  Stands approx. 5.5" tall.

Looks very nice, but also looks like its complicated to assemble after cutting. Nice work, thanks for sharing.

Nice job.  My better half loves chickens, is this a pattern you may share, or let me know where I can locate the pattern?

Thanks everyone!  It was fun to cut and very challenging to assemble.  Examine the photo for clues on putting it  together.  The pattern is here:

You WILL need to have Google Sketchup to open this pattern, but Sketchup is free to download.  I had to play around with the printing size to get it close to fitting 1/8" ply.  Let me know if you need help!

Wow I would be ok with the cutting but putting it together I think I would be all fingers and probably make a mess of it.  You did a fantastic job, well done.
