Title: Too much play in upper arm

Hi gang,
The bad news, I am cutting The Lords Prayer (thats not the bad news lol) and the upper arm on my Delta is moving approx. 1/8 to 1/4" side to side in motion. I opened her up and I dont see anything that I can tighten. I am wondering if there is bearings or something like that that may have finally given up the ghost and are wearing out. the good news is I have another Delta saw so I can teach my kids how to ss so I have just switched over to using that one...but I would still like to know how to fix my saw....or is it just a done deal???

Only Help I can offer is to suggest contacting Delta.  Good customer service to my knowledge.

I have a Delta P-20 and had the bearing on the upper arm go out. It was causing erratic, side-to-side movement and noisy as hell. But first, make sure to check the link at the back of the upper arm. There are some screws that can loosen up. It could cause some side-to-side movement. I had those loosen up a few years ago, put a drop of Loctite on them and they haven't given me a problem since.

Hope you can get it back up and running soon.
