I think I have read that some of you use inkscape. I just downloaded it, it looks good, but I think it will take a while to figure evrything out. Is it as good as it looks? Is it easy to use once you know which nobbie does what?
Just wondering.

its a great program . i use it all the time to design my patterns.
-
Dawie, it is a nice program. Travis over at http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/ (http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/) has completed a few tutorials with Inkscape. Might be worth looking them up.

Thanks Steve,
Will have a look at it, have fiddled around with it a bit, but did not get everything to work. So will probably be worth checking out to learn how to work it properly.

I use Adobe Illistrator 10 for my patterns. Just out of curiosity I downloaded inkscape and found that it is very similar to Illistrator but with a lot fewer functions. I still like Illistrator better but thats just me and because I am used to using that program.

I use Inkscape. It has done everything I need, and it is free. :D

I lucked out. a few years ago when I went back to school one of my clases required the use of Adobe Illustrator so I was able to get it for around $20.00 through the school.

Just downloaded Inkscape. I'll try it out after I find out if Jack Bauer gets killed.

Hey Bud, Who is this Jack Bauer guy? ::)
-
He's the guy in the TV show 24. It's the show finally tonight.
