Title: TURBO CARVER

DOES  ANYONE HAVE OR HAS ANYONE USED A TURBO CARVER?  IVE BEEN LOOKING AT THEM FOR A WHILE BUT CANT PULL THE TRIGGER TO BUY ONE.  GETTING THE URGE AGAIN.  I WAS LOOKING FOR SOME INPUT.

do you do a lot of carving? I don't have one, but it looks like an air powered dremel. I personally don't use my dremel enough to upgrade to something like this. Sorry, I am not much help today.

I WOULD LIKE TO DO MORE CARVING AND I DONT LIKE THE DREMEL BECAUSE ITS TOO BULKY.  THIS LOOKS LIKE HOLDING A FAT PENCIL WITH MORE CONTROL.  IM INTERESTING IN DOING GLASS ETCHING TOO AND THIS LOOKS LIKE IT MIGHT WORK FOR THAT AS WELL.

in fact i would say its way overpriced for a bunch of plastic tubing, fittings,
and even the carver part looks mostly made of plastic! the compressor looks
same as one for airbrushing and those are a hundred bucks or less.

im sure it works great but i would have to be really dedicated to carving to
get one and even then it would be hard to spend that much money, but thats
just my opinion.

Get the 'handpiece' attachment for the Dremel to start out with!

GB beat me to it. I have the flex head attachment for my dremel and it works great. I think it was around $40. It fits the hand nicely and wont cost you an arm and a leg..

I have used a turbo carver of a friend.  He does not use it at all and after trying it I understand why.  It is only good for very fine detail but I can do that with the Master carver set up I have. I have their carving hand piece which is a mini jackhammer with removable gouges.  That works very well.

I use an Arbotec it fits onto a angle grinder great for taking wood off fast
