Title: Corel Draw X5
Post by: Judy Hunter on January 04, 2012, 07:57:05 pm
I have been slowly learning corel draw from your You tube videos.  I wanted a reference book so ordered the "official guide".  WOW it is 964 pages and wayyyy complicated.  Can you suggest a book easier to use??

Almost anything you get on a program that complicated is going to be a big and difficult book.

For Christmas I got the book..."Beginning GIMP" and it goes just under 600 pages also.
There are so many 'bells and whistles' in these Graphic manipulation programs that they are difficult to learn if you are not a Geek!

Wish I could be more encouraging but the best way to learn something like that is a 'hands on' class.

I am sure you are right GB.  Guess I can use the book as a $30.00 door stop.

If you could find someone in town who uses it you might be able to get them to tutor you in exchange for other services, like butchering or scrolling or....

Hey ... check with the local High School!

Judy, go to You Tube (http://www.youtube.com/) and do a search for Corel Draw X5 tutorial. I have learned a lot form watching some of them there. You can also go to Bing (http://www.bing.com/videos/browse?FORM=Z9LH1) and search to.  :)
