Title: Portrait Pattern
Post by: Russ C on January 04, 2012, 07:53:07 pm
I make most of my patterns but I am really not good with portraits of people. I have been really struggling trying to learn how to make them. Well my daughters birthday is Sunday and she asked me if I could make a portrait of Gage my grandson for her. So I set out this morning going to master this portrait obstacle and I think I am finally getting it. I will let you be the judge. Comments and Constructive Criticism welcome. I hope to continue and get better.  :)

Looks very good to me....no floaters and crisp lines.

Well Done, Boss Man!

Russ I think you mentioned using pyrography too, the shading on the side of his face would be good I think to give the portrait depth. What say you?
Looks like you're getting that pattern making down!  ;D

I think babies are the hardest portrait patterns to make because they have so few lines in their face.  You did a great job.
