Hi All.
A Little about me and scrolling.
I'm a 75+ year ol' fa'' in Coolidge AZ.
Most all of my scrolling work I do as a Fund Raiser for the Arizona Lions Clubs Handicapped camp, Camp Tatiyee, located in Lakeside AZ. Over the years I have been doing this I have been able to give them over $34,000.00 to give a weeks FREE camping experience to Arizona Handicapped.
Most of the Fund Raising activity has been doing art/craft shows during the 'winter visitors' season here at various RV Parks/Resorts.
I use to do over 45 shows during that time (Nov - March).
Can't do that anymore.
I also have a display at one of our local Cafe's and give them a flat $5 commission regardless of the 'donated' price on the item.
This past year has been just awful.
Wore out 2 Delta scroll saws and now have a DeWalt 788.
Another way I raise funds is Bar Hopping. I'll take several cuttings and just lay them out on a table while imbibing. Works for me. Best is Fri/Sat after they get a check.
Any questions?
John

Hi John, welcome to the forum.
I know of Camp Tatiyee because we spend a lot of time in that area during the summer. We have vacation property in Alpine and my cousin has a cabin outside of Lakeside so we run back and forth quite a bit.
It sounds like you have definitely done your share to help the disabled, which I can certainly appreciate because my husband is handicapped since birth.
Glad to have you here!!

Welcome aboard John and God Bless you for all of the money and work you donate to the handicap community. I build and donate toys to the pediatric ward in my local hospital, I know the feeling of satisfaction to see the smile on a child's face when they are given toys.
