Hello everyone, I am looking for a design for a RC hoverwing. I have a great idea that I have on paper but I do not understand the dynamics of remote controlled hovercraft that can fly. If anyone would like to assist me in tackling this project I am open for suggestions. Many thanks in advance. This would need to be a working model.

no chance to build them.
You need at least 3 of them exactly - and by exactly I mean EXACTLY - the same.
They need to be light and have exactly - you know what I mean - the same form & carving.
And in the end you would have 3 wings but the'd fall apart as soon as the heli is running.
Sorry to ruin your plan, but that will not in any way work out. Ask someone with a heli (I never had one but was doing model crafts for years).

I think Torsten is right ! i have never heard of anyone making one like this, aeroplanes yes but never anything that hovers. i have both and the helicopters are very complex pieces of machinery..Pete

can I ask what a "RC hoverwing" is?

geneVG, if my understanding is correct it is a cross between a hovercraft and and aeroplane, it has short stubby wings and fly's very close to the ground!
It may be possible to build one but i think the balance issues would be a real problem , but if Tracey Ranson ever manages to build a working model i would love to see it...Pete

I thought he's talking about helicopter rotor blades ???

Torsten , So did i to begin with but then i remembered i had seen something like this so i looked it up on youtube ;)..Pete

Ah, ok... so it's some kind of flying hovercraft... strange.
@ Tracy
In that case -> go to a model craft forum for that, they will teach you through the process of designing wings and the hovercraft portion.
I could help you a bit if were for a sailing boat or the RC stuff.

Tracy look up RCGroups forum, I'm sure you will find what your are looking for there.
