Title: Winter Cabin
Post by: Mainewoods on December 22, 2011, 08:12:21 am
This is a Charles Dearing pattern I just finished.  1/8" BB ply cut with FD#1 Flat end spiral.  It's been treated to a BLO/MS bath and will get a 1/8" luan backer painted black.  Just laying on black felt for pic. This one's going to the inlaws.  Great pattern Charlie!

Thats a beautiful piece of work, with a hell of a lot of cuts to make too... When I improve a bit I'd like to attempt something like that. I'll have to look up the pattern sometime.

WOW...you sure like to push the limit and raise the bar...

That is Gorgeous!
And I know the tense muscles and breath holding that went on during some of those cuts!!!

I have several of Charlie's patterns on my list for the new year and I may just add this one.

That is going to be awesome when framed up.

Thanks everyone!  I forgot to include the dimensions.  This cutting is 8.5" tall by 18.5" long.  247 cuts, if I counted right!  ;D

Frank, you can find the pattern here:

You can pay Charlie through Paypal and tell him which pattern you want.  He provided very prompt service!

Keefie,  A pattern like that is cut just one hole at a time, just like you do now with anything else.  It may take you a little longer than experienced scrollers but, guess what?  They cut them one hole at a time.

Great job Glenn, I am going to have to contact Charlie for that pattern.  Beautiful.

Charles Dearing always has some nice patterns.  They are not easy to cut and you did a great job on this one Glenn.  Thanks for sharing.
