This last Saturday I did the Wood Art Fair at the Woodcraft Store in Ventura CA. I think I was the only scroller there out of about 22 Wood artist. It was a great day and my best sales ever! I had a variety of items from pattern makers such as Sheila Landry, Steve Good, Diana Thompson and Grampa among others. the top sellers were Sheila's sled ornaments and fretwork mini ornaments, Steves Ornaments and gift card holders, and Diana's Mini Birdhouse ornaments.
After adding up my receipts, I sold nearly $1000! Not bad for a long days work. The pictures were taken just before opening, I hadn't finished my tree yet.

Great Day for you Dan!
Lots of really nice merchandise.
WC must have really promoted that event or was it done by the club?
Local WC store here barely sends an occasional email for sales!
Glad you picked up some cash! And by the way..there was a lot more than 'one day's work' on those tables!!!

Yeah Jimbo, but I had so much stuff, it didn't make much difference. But guess what? A Friend came buy tonight and bought $100 worth of the leftovers!

$1000, WOW, Fantastic Dan you must be pleased, well done! what was your asking prices for your sledges ? and how do you price things ??..Pete
-
holy cuacamoly!
Now there is a "Big D"!
Behind your really full table there are cabinets with chisels? What about them?
-
Pete, The sleds were priced at $10. I try to stack cut as much as possible so I usually have two to four of each project, so I can price them cheaper than if I just made one. Then I ask my wife what she would pay for it, then price it accordingly. People like bargains, so I like to price things like ornaments with a "two for". The small ornament were $3, two for $5. The larger ornament were $6, two for $10. the mini birdhouses, sleds and gift card holders were $10 or two for $18.
Torsten, This was held at a woodworking store. I was placed in front of the chisel display. My tables were two large woodworking benches!
Thanks for all compliment!

Congrats what a great day......Dave

Thanks for the info Dan , i also ask family members what they would pay but they all tend to give me different answers ::), i made some sleds and a kind local shop owner is selling them for me without commision!, i also asked her about price and she said ?9 which is probably about $12 and she has sold some at that price.
I will ask her to reduce the price now though as i have some sleds with the date on the runners, Thanks again ..pete
