Title: Bookends and Stained Music

Ok, I finished a set of bookends today in the shop....All, that is left to do is glue them onto the bases.  Yes, they are black and gold...LOL.  We are originally from Louisiana so yeah you can figure we were estatic when the Saints won the SuperBowl.  I was hoarse for three days...LOL.  I am going to give these to my son for Christmas this year perhaps.....I also stained and finished the music word art and posting a picture for you all to see the finished product.  I stained it with a Cherry Stain.

I am no football fan, but the bookends came out great and I am sure your son is gonna love them.  The word art came out absolutely gorgeous.  They cherry stain fits fine.  Thanks for showing us.

Hey Tonya, What wood did you use for the word art? Both projects look great!

Dgman, I used 1/2" birch ply for the word art and then I stained it.
