Hi This is a portrait from a Pattern Kindly done by Paul "Aka" Grampa ;) for me , unfortunatly i broke off some of the ply facing just as i was finishing it and only had done one copy >:( >:( so on the lookout for better quality ply !.
i have adapted the pattern to try to hide my mistake but i feel real bad as that is not the way it shoud have looked ! ah well the learning experience ! ;)(http://)

Looks great, nick work. We all started as a rookie. :)

nice work, you could never tell you had a problem with it.

Has a nice streamline look to it.. great pattern and great cutting!

Hey Pete, You did a good job on the cutting! Congratulations. This is another reason to stack cut. That way you have more than one copy if one is damaged.

Live and learn Pete, we have all been there. The portrait looks great. Nice pattern and good cutting.

Hey Pete,
They really came out great! Don't beat yourself up over a mistake, I looked for it, I don't see it! That's the cool thing about this scroll saw stuff, most of the time nobody knows when you make a mistake, unless you show the pattern right next to it, which would be, well, kinda odd.
You did a great job of covering the mistake, whatever it was, don't worry about making more.
The pattern is a guide, not an absolute, once you realize that, scroll sawing gets much easier.

A great pattern and a great cutting. If you can't see where the ply broke off don't say anything, because you will be the only person that will know.

Thanks for all your kind comments ! as i said i had to adapt the pattern to cut out the piece that had broke off, it was directly above the young lady's eye and i joined two cuts together to cut out the offending piece ;) i also did this one more time so it did not look so out of place . I was happy with the pattern up until then but as you all say it is a learning curve ! on the bright side i showed the couple in question the cutting and they are delighted with it :D i did tell them what happened and offered to recut it but they said absolutly not . so everyones a winner ;D will get better quality ply in the future..Pete
ps: i did give them a christmas discount ! ;D ;D ;D
