Finally got around to cutting this one and thought I'd show it off. I don't know who Daniel Hart is, but his name is on the pattern, and would like to thank him for such a wonderful pattern. And also thanks to the person who posted it on this board, sorry, I don't remember who it was.
The pattern is cut out of Maple plywood from Ochooch and the backer is 3/4" Walnut flooring that I re-purposed. I have to say this pattern was a lot more challenging to cut then I thought it wood be, and took me about three hours to cut, which is two hours longer then I expected, but I think it was worth it. My intention was to give it as a gift, but I think I'm gonna have to keep this one, and make some more.

Fantastic job Bob. Try stacking two or three 1/8" ply. You get more for your efforts that way.

Bob that is a beautirul job, and the walnut is to die for!
What gave you the most trouble? I'm thinking the long straight cuts, am I close?

That looks great. I have done two of them and those straight cuts take a steady hand. Again, it looks great.
