I was so tired the other morning, I knew it would be unsafe to cut anything, so I set up my "spray booth" to spray lacquer on my newest project. Rather than the can of lacquer, I accendently grabbed a can of paint and...well...coated some fretwork with Navy Blue paint.

sounds like you really had "the blues" :D
well better this than missing a few fingers on the band or table saw.....
-
I am certain you meant to do that Bill. It couldn't have been an accident. remember , it isn't a mistake, it's a design opportunity. I have too many of those myself! ;D

I have a can of window cleaner that is really good. One day in a hurry I grabbed it to clean my car windshield. It was a can of spray glue and I tell you that was had to get off. Now they are on different sides of workshop. I think paint would have been easier to get off.

And? how does the stuff look like in blue? Photos!
You know that you can always add some more coffee...
-
It might look good in blue. Put a light backer on it and you are good to go.
-
Sure sign you are getting old, went to the kitchen to get some juice, grabbed the coffee pot and filled my glass, tain't the first time either put juice in my coffee too instead of creamer, I could go on for hours!
I'll bet I'm not the only one either?

So right Gabby.

Nope! You are the only one Gabby.
Used to be a saying on a Hooters marquis here that read "That's right Honey, you are special! Just like everybody else." One of my favorites.

I recently grabbed a can of spray 'stain' that I wanted to apply to a piece I had just completed.
Put the piece in my 'spray box', let go with a generous spraying and realized it was not stain but spray adhesive!
It took a while washing it with Mineral Spirits and re-sanding it but I managed to salvage it.
Now the glue is on a different shelf!!!
So we all have those little 'lapses' as we get older and in a hurry....

Just last week I did the exact same thing Greybeard did. Except I didn't realize it until the glue had dried and a hazy film covered all 8 ornaments...............Thank God for Mineral Spirits!!!
Dang I hate getting old......... :(

Hi folks, got to agree with Gabby. I do it all the time. This morning I went to the kitchen for coffee, came back with a bowl full of cereal. Please don't mock the afflicted. It could happen to you LOL.

Rob Roy...do you put lead weights in the hem of your kilt to keep it from blowing up?
~~~GB~~~
-
Hey GB please don't spoil the mental image I had of a windy Scotland. In Minnesota, I used to watch the highland games with the spinning throws so I know where of I speak ;D
Some of those Scots Cheat !!!! Beside on a cold day..........................
Hi graybeard, by stoping my kilt blowing up,do you mean from an explosion or just ordinary wind???LOL. Seriously the answer is no. The material is heavy enough to hold it down, unless you spin too fast.Best wishes from Scotland.
Rob Roy.
Hi Judy, now I know why you have that HUGE grin on your face LOL.
