Hey Marcel, I have something very similar to that. It uses a 30 gallon fiber barrel. I have a 5" hose between the barrel and dust collector. The barrel contains about 95% of the dust and debris. With all the woodworking I do, I only have to empty the dust collector bags about once a year!

Some great deals there. Thanks for the lead.

Great Dan,
you sound satisfied.
can you show us a picture?

Ok Marcel, I'll get a picture of it tomorrow, but I'm not going to clean the shop just to take a picture! ::)

Ok Marcel. Here are some pics of my dust collector and separator. The separator is a 30 gallon fiber barrel. It is mounted to the dust collector on a shop made stand with wheels so it can move around with the dust collector. The hoses are mounted to the lid with plumbing fittings. I used toilet flanges that are bolted to the lid with silicone in between. The separator collects about 95% of all dust and debris. Very little debris goes through the impeller.
