;D After being on the web for about a year I received a mail from somebody I gave a card to a while back. She wanted to know prices and if everything on the web was for sale. Yes I might not have it in stock, but can make them again as I have the patterns.So the follow up mail came with an order.
I only started the website to share my love for scrolling and to show people what is possible, never thought it would bring in orders.

Good for you! I hope you have lots of return business too. Sometimes you will find that word of mouth is the best advertisement and things start to snowball. I wish you the best!

Maybe fame, but I don't think fortune ;).I have been told time and time again that I under prise my work. But then again I do it for the fun and the joy it brings myself to others.

Glad you find our hobby rewarding in more ways than one.
Every time I give something away I hope that the recipient gets as much pleasure from the project as I did making it.
I donated two plaques for a Trivia night last Saturday and they both sold for more than my 'suggested' minimum bid and the whole affair raised over $15,000 for our local "Meals on Wheels".

I have been getting most of my sales from the Artfire site but I have gotten some from Ecrater and Etsy as well.

It is not my intention to get in to big time selling, it's nice to have some extra money now and again, but I don't want my hobby to turn into to much of a business. If that happens I need to conform to all kinds of legislation in my little country and I could loose my disability grant. I am allowed to have some extra income, which I am very careful to monitor in my bookkeeping set up just for scrolling, so far I operate on a minimal lose, but than again that does not really bother me that much. The funny thing is when I want or need extra chase I get an order. Someone is watching over me and helping out when I need it most.
Keep on enjoying the making of sawdust.
