We are trying again!
After putting 3 to sleep in 6 weeks we are starting over....
Today brought home "BLADE" and "DUSTY"....
Blade is a 3 month old female Gray and Black tabby with some reddish brown on her face that may get her nicknamed "Rusty Blade"! VERY active and playful.
Dusty is a 4 mo. old male light caramel colored tabby...also affectionate and playful.
We are hoping this is the last of having to go through the pain and aggravation of 'putting friends to sleep".
Pictures will follow when they settle in enough for me to take them.

I was so happy when I read this post! I can't imagine how difficult it has been for your these past several weeks. Losing three friends is so painful. While you will never forget the love and devotion from your other kitties, it is wonderful that you are sharing that love with these two new ones. So many pets are in need of families and I am sure they will be forever grateful of the care and love you will give them. It will be so good for both of you to need each other. I wish you all the happiness in the world and I hope they both have long and healthy lives with you. Big ((((HUG))) to you!

NICE!
Have fun. It's like with kids - nicest when they are young and innocent.
oh - and don't be afraid. It's normal that kittens do make these meow sounds ;D

GrayBeard, so sorry to hear you have lost 3 of your beloved Kitties. So glad you opened your heart and home to two new kitties.
Saturday coming home from town on a deserted part of our road a little orange and white 8-10 week old kitten was wandering around in the middle of the road. Looked like he hadn't eaten in a few days. Being a cat lover (4) I stopped and picked him up and brought him home. I put him in quarantine, fed him and gave him some water. He inhaled the food and water. My neighbor happened to stopped by and she and her husband now own the kitten. They named him Creamsicle and he will have a playmate by the name of Ricky.
Had to do a lot of bs'n to get the husband to agree to keep him over night to see how things went, they haven't brought him back to me so I guess everything is going ok. Whew! I love it when things like this work out.

"Rescues" are a risk but when it works they are worth it.
So far so good except for two kittens that decide to 'play' at all hours of the night and use me for a playground.
But I can sleep when I'm Dead!
