I was thinking about what tools I use in support of my scroll sawing. I'd think it interesting what others use. Here are my three most important:
1. Drill Press (for making starter holes)
2. Oscillating Spindle Sander (Finishing Prep.)
3. Band Saw (Cutting large stock down & Resawing)
What do you think?
-
1. An interested ME!
2. Scrollsaw
3. Determinatiion!!!

Planer, ROS, mop sander, table saw, air compressor, router, miter saw, jointer

I guess it would depend on what kind of work you use your scroll saw for. But for me, I find the following indispensable:
Drill Press
Router or Laminate Trimmer (I use a laminate trimmer because I do smaller stuff and it is easier for me to handle)
Dremel
I guess if I only had to choose three that would be the list, but I find that I also need a hand-held orbital sander and several other things for both prep and finishing. (It's kind of like asking a parent which child they love the most!!! LOL)
-
1)Proxxon Mini Precision Drill/Grinder and matching drill press
2)Combination disc/flatbed sander
3)Airbrush and compressor
-
Sanding tools are common amoung the answers. I should have known.

All of the above! :)

All of the above plus a thicknesser /planer I would be lost with out mine

I can't name just three. So my list :
1. Table saw for cutting wood to size.
2. Band saw for re-sawing.
3. Planer for planing to thickness.
4. Jointer to joint edges to glue up large panels.
5. Various sanders: Random orbital, mop sander, 3x8 inflatable pneumatic sanding drum, oscillating spindle sander.
6. Drill press, And of course my scroll saw!

Bud, I have a Wacom tablet, but also have a new laptop with Windows 7 and it is not compatible now. LOL. I am looking at getting a Bamboo pad. You will like the fact of using a pen. It gives you more the feeling of drawing on paper. At least I feel it does.
