Title: Woodworker seperated from his tools = Boredom haha
Post by: cajunmp1980 on October 13, 2011, 08:39:20 am
My name is Sgt Jeremy Latiolais and I'm a Military Policeman currently stationed at Fort Campbell, Ky...101st Airborne Division. I've been getting more and more into woodworking the past 4 years and have built many things to include my greatest venture my 10' Skiff (boat). Unfortunately I was injured in 2007 during deployment to Iraq and the injuries have finally got the best of me so I must exit Active Duty after 8 years --- No cool story behind it besides stepping in a hole with alot of gear on and snapping my ankle in half  haha) I have always thought that a scroll saw would make a nice addition to my shop but never got one. This past week I picked up the entry level craftsman 16" saw and began youtubing and found this site. I must say it is very informative and keeps me occupied with plenty of research material. I have yet to make a cut on the saw since all of my tools are currently in storage awaiting my move to New Freedom, PA hopefully in November!!  I have a wife and 2 wonderful children waiting for me  ;D so I wait! Anyway thanks for taking the time to read this and I look foward to many more days of research! :D

Welcome Jeremy,
Thanks for your service.  I hope your move is successful and you can start scrolling soon.  I so a fair amount of scrolling, but really enjoy it when I can incorporate scrolling into a larger piece of wood working.  Sounds like that might be a natural for you as well.

Another salute is in order!
Nice thing about both of you and Bo joining the forum you will be able to stay connected with each other.
Sure would have been nice in the old days of snail mail and long distance phone calls, I'd sure like to be able to catch up with old shipmates.
Welcome aboard Soldier!
