I recently ordered some 15 pieces of 8' long by 4"/4" of Walnut , and they are in the green for $1.50 a foot is what it'll cost me . I'll have to stack them for the drying process , I hope a year or year and a half will dry them > for by this time I'll probably be out of the Christmas Ornament material that I use to make my Ornaments out of . Did I get a fair deal < for in these parts Walnut is hard to come by . I had a friend that told me that getting it cut in 4"/4" size would be hard to get , but I found this man that said he could do it . After telling my friend of this and the price > he said it sounded like a fair deal to him , any comments on this .................Marshall :)

It sounds like a really good deal to me as that turns out to be only about $1.12/brd foot. Here in AZ walnut runs around $3-4/brd foot on sale. That is dried though.

Hey there! Sounds like a whoppin' deal on some great boards!
I am going to be in your part of the country later this year and would be happy to take any you don't have room for! <bg>
Nice Catch.
I'm so old I don't even buy green bananas anymore! lol

If it is 4"x 4" it will possibly take a lot longer than 18 months, the norm is cubic inch per year so 4"x4" would be 4 years to dry, if you are useing it thinner then cut to size you use.
Jimbo.
PS. if it is wet you should also seal the ends with a sealer
