Here is my first bowl from Carol Rothman's book.

I enlraged it from the original plans. This one is approximately 10" at the top.

Nice job, I think Carole's book is wonderful. I think we will be seeing many more scroll saw bowl projects because she has brought so much attention to the project. I'm really curious to see how well these bowls sell in the arts and craft shows. If anyone has any luck selling these I would be curious how you did.

Charlie, this was made from a piece of poplar that had a nice purple grain running through it. I am working on a Heart shaped one now made from Purple Heart wood.

I have some purple heart (by shear luck) but it burned when I tried to sand it.  Now I can't get the burned areas sanded off. :(   I still want to make a vase or something from it, but ...
