Steve uses Flying Dutchman blades from
Mike's Workshop (http://www.mikesworkshop.com/blades.htm). Just click on the link. I am not sure if he will ship to Italy.

Steve doesn't use blades - he simply stares at the wood and lets it form itself.   ;D

I can also recommend SR#1 for small fretwork style.

I bet Chuck Norris owns a scroll saw. Actually he's reading here. He's chosen to let us scroll because he fears Steve taking off his dust mask. And you know what happens when he does so - another video with more hits than Chuck Norris has.

sure I can. Check the home stores around.

- birch plywood looks sometimes not so good, it's often compared to the IKEA style. They use it a lot.
- beech plywood comes in 1/4" (6mm), 1/2"(12mm) and also in version of 1/3" (9mm), which is in US hard to get but in Europe regular. really nice to cut.
- beech wood in 3/4" (18mm).
- spruce wood in 3/4" (18mm) - cheaper, but here you have to check to not have to much marks in the wood.

Also - check out OBI, they had 3/4" (18mm) acacia lately. It's the dark brown wood - the color can easily be removed during simple pre sanding. pretty colorful wood, not always that easy to cut (differing temper). Looks really neat when oiled.

oh, and do you have some "Praktiker" around? they have birch ply in 1mm , 1.5mm and 2mm (1/32") at a reasonable price. Should work fine for Christmas ornaments.

Thanks for the advice!

I'll try to see where you told me ...

I thought Steve was using the wood and not particularly easy multilayer ... Sometimes I see him using wood is dark brown ...?

Now they are desperate for Alder Alder or here in Italy you can not find and when you find they are selling it in North Italy Cubic Meters ...

You know if someone sells it online small pieces?

thank you very much for understanding my English-google

the dark wood is most times walnut.

As you ask for that - another good source for wood is http://www.designholz.com/ - they ship worldwide (ask for shipping fee). Also check out Italian wood-suppliers, some sell "music wood", which is wood for musical instruments. You can find interesting pieces there (B or C-quality is quite cheap).

no, but you can use all woods that you want to use. Try some. Find your style.
