Title: Mini Birdhouses and Display Stand

I created this 36" vertical birdhouse display stand. It has a 10 in circular base with a 7 inch secondary base then a 1 1/2 square poplar dowel with 1/4 dowels placed every 6 inches. It will hold at least a dozen birdhouses at one time. It can also double as a 3/d Christmas ornament display stand as well. It was not hard to do.

The woods used for them are Eucalyptus, Pine, Poplar, Cedar, Purpleheart, RedWood

Hey DW, Looks like you've got the mini birdhouse fever too. I've done about fifty of them myself, and have been thinking about how to display them. I like your idea. I might try something like yours, I haven't decided yet.

I wanted something easy to set up and did not take up a lot of table room... I generally do not have the ability to hang things so going vertical is the only way for me.

The pattern for the Mini Bird Houses are from 2 sources - the May 2011 edition of Creative Woodworks and Crafts and from Diana Thompson's web site http://www.scrollsawinspirations.com/default.asp?ID=7&action=detail&ProductCode=131 (http://www.scrollsawinspirations.com/default.asp?ID=7&action=detail&ProductCode=131).  They are super easy to make and lots of fun.
