Thanks for your lovely comments.  The wood used was a piece of sycamore that I had sitting around for the past year or so.

Thanks for all the lovely comments.  The pattern was in a book called Creating Wooden Boxes on the Scroll Saw (Best of Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts Magazine) by Editors of Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts Magazine.  Its available from amazon.
