Title: I haz card boxes!
Post by: tux_linux on July 29, 2011, 11:51:13 am
Hey!

I have ordered some card boxes for dispatching some "order" and generally to pack and store the things.

(http://www.torsten-harms.de/holz/div/cardboxes.jpg) (http://www.torsten-harms.de/holz/div/cardboxes2.jpg)

The big white boxes are 10" x 14" and 2" high, so capable to carry a letter size item or so (big puzzles, most name cuttings, picture patterns, ...)
The small one is 4.5" x 4.5" and 1.75" high. Just the right size for the small stuff (small puzzles, jewelry, Christmas decoration, ...)

The boxes will be padded inside with news paper (could have bought soft tissue for this but decided to try the paper first).

Both boxes are accepted by the German post as a maxi-size letter for shipping.
The small brown one costs 0.23? (0.33$) and the big white one 0.33? (0.47$).

I expect much less trouble when selling things. It's always nice to have the things packed in a card box so you can bring it home save.

I see how much effort it takes to get reasonable boxes from the shops or somewhere else - (time, driving, handling, ...). Therefor this should be not really additional costs.

Jimbo, I know.
This lead me to checking the usual stores here too. But in Germany it has become unusual to give the boxes to the customers. I know back when we always used a grocery box to bring home our purchase. But that's not common any more.

@ chachi
Your right - the perfect box makes an average product so much better ;D

Naa, it's more about the customers here. It's a urban region.
People want to have a decent purchase experience. It's about the trend of buying self made things and stuff like that.

Marcel, I ordered them here (http://www.karton-ab-werk.de).
You probably have some retailer like that too in the Netherlands.
