I'm not trying to be stupid, but what does the letters in front of the blades mean?  I have been trying to figure it out.

ask Mike at mikesworkshop.com
He sells scrollsaw blades and I'm convinced he knows everything about them. Very fast shipping and good prices.
Give him a call and he will help you.

If you are talking about FD, they stand for Flying Dutchman, the brand name. On any others I don't know.

Right. Order some, they are prety fine blades. Alternative is Olsen, also fine ones and often better available - if you like to go to your favorite shop and not just order.

no letters in general, I have read on some of these replys and they talk about the different blades and there is always some letters in front of the number.  I was just wondering what they meant.
